MITCH'S BLOG
April 2011

During my title year, it is among my goals to support and advocate for diversity within our communities.  Being an ambassador for a healthy, kinky, sexy and fun Leather lifestyle and demystifying the Leather world is a role I gladly take on with honor and an eager Leather spirit.  Respect, education, sexual exploration, eroticism and keeping it legal are the foundations of the Leather Community.  Enjoying hot men in hot leather never goes out of style; WOOF!

Each year the Mr. Phoenix Leather title holder identifies a charity to help sponsor during his year. My charity this year is the Transgender community.  Helping these individuals with their financial goals and outreach efforts are important endeavors within our diverse community. I am also available, as the representative of the Leather community in Phoenix, to help bring awareness to other groups within our community; diversity and acceptance are key in the Valley of the sun!

Raising the funds to afford me the opportunity to compete for the International Mr. Leather 2011 title has been successful and a great team effort. I have had two fund raisers to date-

Future fund raising events include:

Within my occupations as a mental health provider and university professor, public speaking and providing accurate and current information are second nature to me.  One of my favorite duties as this years’ Leather ambassador is to help men and women step into their Leather world and begin exploring their inner selves at their own pace.  I am determined, with the support of the greater Phoenix GLBTQ Leather (and non-leather) Brothers & Sisters to do all within my abilities to bring the International Mr. Leather 2011 title home to the Valley of the Sun; where the sun and Leather men are hot!

The Mr. Phoenix Leather Contest is being presented as a community service by
Mr. Cellblock Leather 2008, Kenneth Anthony, &
Mr. padlock Leather 2001, Stephen Bloom.
